I had to tell the world
Or at least the part that stops by here.
I just played "HAWKINGS" in an on-line Scrabble game for 266 points.

Strange. Third reference to Hawkings in a week. The first, I stumbled upon a page where one of his theories was proven in simulation. Then, I was discussing QP with a friend in chat, who recommended a Hawkings book. Now this.
On another note, my ex is friends with a Hawkings..., not THEE Hawkings though.
And I LOVE scrabble, even if I lose, a lot.

WAP?
I thought that was a slang word!

My first thought was "wireless application protocol," though the dictionary defines it as a hit or blow.

Sue:
aren't those types of coincidences strange?
Here's a Persi Diaconis lecture all about similar situations and the way our brains deal with them. I'm pretty nerdy- did I mention that before?
http://www.princeton.edu/WebMedia/lectures/
scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, it's the 3rd lecture up (5th if you count the sub-lectures)
Also, where do you play this iScrabble?

Thank you, everybody.
For those interested today marks the first appearance of 'hawkings' in the blog ... proof that there are words I'm familiar with that I haven't yet used ... you know, because I'm saving them up for a rainy day.
