Hmmmm I'll trade you my 4 inches of ice for the snow?

I don't know. About 12 years ago we had a lot of rain that froze overnight and stayed frozed for days. We lived in the country at the time. The road looked like an ice rink and after it was OK to drive(days had passed) I'd be out and see kids ice skating on their driveways.

Our ice, I'm sure, wasn't 4" thick. That's rough.

Well, it's sort of "pretend" ice. They called the storm "complex" which meant it was snow, and sleet, and then some ice, and maybe some flaming hail in the middle of it. We can't be sure. Not half as fun as being able to ice skate in the driveway... Now I feel cheated. ;)

You guys call THAT a blizzard?

Shit. Last weekend we got that much overnight and they never bothered to issue a warning until it was already in effect. I was so pissed. I ended up getting stuck in the snow... and I almost couldn't open my car door because the snow was higher than the bottom of the door!

Sue: I didn't realize you folks got that much snow on a regular basis. They never did run a plow over the alley I use to gain access to the world ... about noon or so a guy drove down it in an SUV and I used his tracks as a starting point to escape the vehicular confines of my home (I'd been out on foot to lay in subs and beer).
