This is a Quicky
So there will be no photo.
This morning I needed to get the boys out the door a bit early as one of them needed to be at school for a meeting.
"Where's my coat?" Hadyn asked as we were making out way toward the door. Where's my coat, unfortunately, comes up a lot more often than you might expect and always when I want it least. We needed to be in the van, not searching for coats.
"Well," I said, "The last time I wore your coat ..." and I let it hang, the point being that I don't wear his coat, how am I supposed to know where it was. And it was on the chair in front of him.
We all picked up our backpacks and I took a look for the last, most important, thing I needed. "Has anybody seen my keys?" I asked.
"Well. The last time I used your keys ..." said Haydn, also going with the letting it hang bit.
And, my keys were right in front of me the whole time.

I like that phrase, I'm stealing it.

This has happened more than once to me. I'm awful with keys, my youngest daughter is awful with her clothes. Somehow she thinks that if she stands in the middle of the room shouting for her clothes they will just come running to her... well, actually she's right, they do come running to her. She's usually late and I go looking for what she need.
I misplace my keys and I misplace my phone. The good thing with phones are that you can just pick up another phone and call it. I'm waiting for the day when someone invents a device for your keys you can call...

Bless that boy - spoken like a true smart-arse! Wonder where he gets that from?

Sue: It's only fair. I stole it from my parents.
Susie: I lose my keys almost every day. I should know better. I never lose them when I visit my parents or my cousin (who lives in my old house and where I just toss the keys on the fridge like I did when we lived there so many years ago.)
Heather: I like the way that sounds. I never thought to give it that spin.
Lady P: Well, I guess we all know where he gets it. It doesn't mean I want to strangle him any less. :-)

hehe He catches on quickly!
I am *forever* setting down my keys at home and forgetting where I left them, oftentimes to find them in the cushion of my sofa. grrr.
When you start looking for your glasses, to find them on top of your head, *then* you may need to wonder a bit! ;)

I've done the glasses thing too. And, not long ago, I walked back to my office to look for the wallet I was carrying in my left hand.

Haydn cracks me up. I still laugh when he zings me (the little axe murderer). One word to teh key losers: cubbyhole.
