Trimmed

The following is a picture of all the stuff I trimmed off the bush at the side of the house.

My bike is there for perspective. There is some additional greenery you can't see.

The other day I explained the problem I had deciding how to trim the bush. Did I want a little bush? A lot of bush? I'd briefly considered something in the landing strip family and decided to see how it would look.

While the landing strip certainly has it's place in the big world of bushes, I decided that outside, by my house, isn't one of those places.

I went with this.

It still needs a little evening up. And I know it looks chopped but it'll grow back. (And it's thinking like that which give us the courage to try new things.)

In the background you can see the new building they're putting up across the street; the machine they use as an alarm clock to wake me every morning is out of frame.

For what it's worth, I approve. A wee bit of evening up, but nothing too structured would look nice. I. M. H. O.

Is the new building a firehouse? Looks like it has big openings for something to drive in and out.

CravenGirl: I'm thinking a little bit off the sides. When all is said and done and you take the two shrubberys together, I should have a nice, two-level effect. The knights who say 'ni' would approve.

Bill: They just put some big, glass, doors in those openings. The lower parts of the building are going to be offices. The upper half are 'investment flats.'

Nice double entendre =)

A Monty Python reference at 9AM. That's why I come here. Bring me a shrubbery.

The last time hedge-trimming was mentioned on this Blog there was far too much smuttiness involved for my liking!

You're a budding shrubberer

Nancy: Thank you. I alway try to double my entendres at the end of the week. I like to get a headstart on the weekend.

Rob: Ni! (This is one of the great things about being a guy. We get all of the out-there references. I'll try to work some Three Stooges in later this month.)

Lady P: Always glad to help a damsel in distress.

Phoenix: I certainly know how to get my trim on.

"I'll try to work some Three Stooges in later this month."

Stick to the classics. You can't go wrong.

O.K. The photo's didn't come in on my computer so here is my take on this entry.

Delmer your not fat anymore! men refer to it as a "shed"....you know, your stomach...."with a tool like this I built a shed over it"....saying you "trimmed off the bush at the side of the house"? That's a different spin on it.

Pen,
Apologies in advance.

Edging the lawn, dusting the henge, and now trimming the bush, beside the house, no less. Delmer, these public displays of grooming are going to get you in trouble. BTW, this entry is much more hilarious without the pictures.
